"Things'll come out shiny, so don't fret and take life by the horns."
Though, if it were me, I would red up the brown hair and brown up the yellow fur, just a teensy weensy bit. But, I don't know what the original character looks like, so that might not work. And a little linear-dodged highlight with a dark orange color might look good in the hair, too.
Love the cool blue shadows in the white areas, though.

I decided not to node the hair highlights so they'd be less standout-ish.
And the blue shadows are thanks to a blue gradient map I slapped on under the colour layer. P: makes a huge difference in the overall piece.
