I've spent all afternoon on this... x_x My back is so stiff, I'm afraid to get up XD FULL VIEW, please! I know the small view will be butchered to pieces...

*cough* Yes... Dragons - IN SPACE !!

- who this is for - asked me to sketch her character, Randy, in his basic dragonish form in exchange for a sketch of Torren. I was all like "I woudn't mind sketching a more complex character... *hinthinthint" and Pearl's all "if u want more complex he has other forms XD idk wut to have u do LMAO!" And I was "YES! Jewelled phoenix form plzplzplz?" and... and... and... yeah. o_o;;;

So I sketch him and coloured him 'cause he's just that cool! And I wanted a spacey background. Excuse to do another planet, kekekee.... The Jewelled Phoenix form looks right out of Star Trek to me (prolly just 'cause I'm a Trekkie eheheh....). >w> Nacelles are the pontoon-like things you see on the sides of star ships in Star Trek, they house subspace field generators & stuff, and BuSSard ramscoop collectors, sometimes. Randy's got wings, so he don't need them! Bwahaha!

Though... How does he survive in space? >.>; The jewels give him neat powers... Erm... I'll leave for Pearl to figure out! XD;
But Humans can survive in a vaccum for about 30 seconds... dragons maybe longer... Dragon-being inbetween... maybe he's trying to get to a ship or satillite? Could prolly use life support....

Got some details of the golden plates wrong... I'll admit I had a hard time with the sholder pieces >.< Also he has these foofy white things on the lower arm of each wing, I purposely emitted them 'cause they'd get in the way of my pretty planet. There were other issues too... But the spikes on the end... I just flat-pout forgot to paint them in.

Done entirely in photoshop CS2, except for the initial sketch. Um... About 7 hours maybe? About an hour for sketch and planet, five for shading dooby there and another for farting around with the BG (this is one of many >.>.

Now for credit to be given where credit is due~

Used stock images form =resurgere to make the Planet. The main texture came form the Oil pack, I think.
Semi-followed *PearlPhoenix's own hair tutorial for the hair. I semi-follow 'cause I remember the techniques, but didn't go baxck to the tut or anything for this...
Had to go to ~AP123's city lights tutorial to remember how to do city lights >.>;
